〰️I've got a confession. 12 years after leaving home, I've only just researched and selected what laundry detergent I want to use. Up until recently, I just picked one off the shelf that looked eco-friendly and marketed itself as being natural. Surprise, it wasn't. I'd been using it for some time before I took the time to actually look into the ingredients properly.
Did you know that many laundry detergents contain ingredients that pollute water & harm marine life. Not to mention, all those chemicals snuck into them also end up rubbing against our skin all day (our clothes) and night (our sheets). No thank you! Note: I prefer a liquid in my front loader as I feel its more gentle on fabrics with less friction, making clothes last longer which is why the below are all liquids instead of powders. I can’t comment on powders as I don’t use them.

This is my personal go-to. Ecostore makes their bottles in NZ out of sugar plastic. It’s made from renewable sugar cane, as opposed to non-renewable petrochemicals, and is recyclable.
FYI: There is some plastic in their laundry range though as their container lids and bulk container sizes are still currently made from plastic. Their 1L and 500ml dish liquid bottles also contain 10% recycled plastic as they state their needs to be a market for recycled plastics in Australia so they have started introducing it to their range.
